About our Kindle Project
Currently there are eight colleges and universities in the United States actively exploring the possibilities of utilising the Kindle, an e-reader sold exclusively by Amazon.com, in classrooms.  These colleges are Arizona State University, Case Western Reserve, Pace University, Princeton University, Reed College, Southern Vermont College, the Darden School at the University of Virginia, the University of Washington.

Our Kindle Project began in Spring, 2009 (yes, before the other seven pilot projects got underway), at which time Associate Professor Charles Crowell began developing pedagogical applications for the Kindle 2 as part of his Entrepreneurship Laboratory class.

Beginning this Fall semester, we began using the Kindle 2 - a second generation Kindle e-book reader - in three demonstration classes.
